| When
Chrome was still based in the US, there was some discord about the fact
to play live or not. They only played two times in the US and Italy, Damon
is reported to having problems with the concept of makin concerts (something
to do with his agoraphobia?). Oddly enough, when establishing himself
in Europe, he hastened to put a tour in France. The Lyon Concert is the
witness document of a mix of old titles remodeled (and retitled) and played,
of course, by his french band. The result is not much, the mix is soft
and the vocals (from Damon and Fabienne) are quite unpleasant. I think
you must have been there... Also, there's a couple of intruders on the
album: two long hypnotising parts of sequenced beats sounding as if they
were cut from the Zombie King sessions are at the end of each sides of
the vinyl. Finally, it's not a good addition to the Chrome discography.
This is one of the few questionable releases of Damon. |
